Description:
WHO YOU ARE:
We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our team! The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Regional Directors and District Supervisors at Stores, to resolve employee relations concerns, performance management, disciplinary action (including terminations) and workplace investigations in alignment with legislative requirements and internal policies.
- Provide support to employees and management with respect to HR matters
- Provide guidance regarding HR policies and procedures, performance management, employee relations, benefits and employment legislation
- Oversee workplace accident and disability claims and provide guidance on health and safety compliance requirements.
- Coach and support leaders in the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify recurring challenges and trends in the field, and develop innovative resources and tools to address evolving needs effectively.
- Support staffing challenges at stores and provide recommendations on proactive recruitment actions in collaboration with the HR team members.
- Work in partnership with our HR subject matter experts to support your regions, including but not limited to culture and engagement initiatives and total rewards.
- Support and develop HR projects as per the business needs.
- Participate in ongoing store visits, both locally and specific to your region.
- Perform other duties, as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related role.
- Knowledge of Canadian Labour Laws
- Excellent technical abilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- A clear sense of urgency to achieve results.
- Keen sense of time management and flexibility
- A team player who builds strong relationships based on trust and integrity
- Excellent customer support, collaboration, time management, organization skills, diplomacy and attention to details;
- English and French, spoken and written
- Experience in Retail an asset.
- Travel as required.
