WHO YOU ARE:
The Packaging Intern will support the Packaging and Marketing teams in the development, adaptation, organization, and research of packaging initiatives across apparel, accessories, and footwear categories. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field who is eager to gain hands-on experience in packaging development within a fast-paced retail environment.
Packaging Design Support
- Assist in packaging design adaptations (formatting artwork, resizing, bilingual updates, content adjustments).
- Support the preparation of print production files (English & French).
- Prepare mock-ups and visual presentations for internal meetings.
- Assist with packaging guidelines and vendor instruction sheets.
Catalog & File Management
- Update and maintain packaging catalogues and sample databases.
- Organize and archive project files within proper folder structures.
- Ensure packaging references and dye lines are up to date and easily accessible.
- Track revisions and maintain version control of packaging artwork.
Research & Development
- Conduct in-store visits to research packaging trends, competitor packaging, and visual presentation.
- Compile competitor research (online and offline) into organized reports.
- Assist in researching new packaging materials, sustainability initiatives, dye lines, and finishes.
- Support brainstorming sessions for packaging content, taglines, and visual direction.
Sample & Production Support
- Assist in preparing packaging samples and presentation boards.
- Help coordinate internal sample circulation and maintain sample inventory.
- Support communication follow-ups with suppliers when required.
- Assist in cost comparison research and sustainability exploration.
Cross-Department Support
- Provide support to the Marketing Graphics team during peak periods.
- Assist with small-scale signage or visual adaptation tasks when needed.
- Contribute to special packaging projects and new initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Graphic Design, Marketing, or related program.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Basic understanding of print production and packaging formats.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Interest in packaging design, retail branding, and visual presentation.
- Ability to manage multiple small tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable conducting store visits and trend research.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Interest in sustainability and retail innovation is an asset.
- Bilingual (English & French) is an asset
