Description:

WHO YOU ARE:

As the Director of Planning and Allocations, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation of detailed and comprehensive product assortment plans for each store and product group (including all KPI). You will be asked to analyze weekly sales data and categorize stores based on their performance and available store capacity. This will ensure that each store has an optimal product assortment. The role also includes the preparation of a monthly product reception plan for our warehouses by analyzing sales trends, in order to provide stores with a product selection that meets current demand. Your role will also include collaborating with analysts on tasks such as:

  • Preparing the purchase quantity chart for buyers from different departments (clothing, shoes, accessories);
  • Managing product allocations and replenishment (stores and ecom);
  • Handling store openings and renovations by preparing appropriate product assortments;
  • Classifying stores into product groups (A, B, C, D) to optimize inventory levels on a weekly basis;
  • Categorizing stores based on customer profile and adjusting prices accordingly;
  • Handling product recalls;
  • Handling price changes and promotions;
  • Managing communications with stores;
  • Producing various reports to support interdepartmental corporate decisions (marketing, merchandising, ecom, warehouses, etc.);
  • Maintaining the product hierarchy by adding or modifying product classes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • In-depth knowledge in planning and allocations. Knowledge in pricing management is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian and American retail market.
  • 10 years of experience in a planning and/or allocation director role.
  • Excellent understanding of various performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Manhattan systems is an asset.
