Description:

WHO YOU ARE:

We are looking for a Design and Construction Intern to join our team! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General Responsibilities:

  • Filing and document organization
  • Organizing files on SharePoint & OneDrive

Design Support:

  • Correcting fixture plans
  • Adjusting fixture CAD blocks
  • Requesting information from the city
  • Sending plans to vendors
  • Organizing and requesting material samples
  • Coordinating hoarding designs with marketing
  • Assisting managers with bathroom layout revisions
  • Scanning and printing documents

Construction Support:

  • Requesting and organizing progress pictures
  • Tracking store construction costs
  • Annotating signage packages for Montreal Neon based on design changes and communicating updates to vendors and general contractors
  • Monitoring construction status and adjusting delivery schedules as needed
  • Following up on deficiencies and ensuring closeout documents are received from the general contractor
  • Tracking drop dates and coordinating with project managers and general contractors
  • Assisting with vendor list distribution and coordinating deliveries with Logistics and the general contractor
  • Conducting bid analysis
  • Filing invoices in project folders
  • Updating the Design & Construction Planner

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Facility Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Adobe suit (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Proficiency in Autocad and Sketchup
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
