WHO YOU ARE:

As part of our commitment, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to assist with preparing and serving healthy, and homemade meals to our staff. This full-time position offers daytime hours and comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and customer service. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. The responsabilties are, but not limited to:
- Assisting with preparing and cooking a variety of higher-end, healthy, and homemade meals for employees.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during meal times.
- Prepare and serve beverages and snacks as required.
- Operate and manage the POS (Point of Sale) cash system to handle employee transactions efficiently.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment daily.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all food safety standards are met.
- Regularly check the condition of kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Help prepare food and beverage for office events and meetings.
- Other tasks as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or high-volume setting.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to communicate in French and English.
- Ability to operate a POS cash system and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering great customer service.
- Willing to work in office 5 days per week at Ardene's Head office in Laval from 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm, depending on business needs.
