WHO YOU ARE:

We’re seeking an E-Commerce Web Developer with a passion for e-commerce and user experience. Reporting to the IT Director, you’ll work on developing and optimizing our e-commerce platform to support a seamless, high-performing shopping experience across web and mobile.

  • Design, develop, and enhance features for Ardene’s website and digital storefronts
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers, digital marketing, and merchandising teams to create engaging, conversion-focused customer journeys
  • Build responsive, mobile-first web components that align with branding and accessibility standards
  • Integrate third-party services and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, search, personalization, analytics)
  • Ensure fast load times, high performance, and strong SEO across all devices
  • Support promotional and seasonal campaign implementations with high-quality front-end and back-end updates
  • Monitor site performance and identify opportunities to improve speed, SEO, and usability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Stay current with e-commerce trends, tools, and technologies
  • Additional tasks as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 5+ years of experience in web development, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, responsive design frameworks
  • Experience with .NET technologies (C#, MVC, Razor, Web API), and CMS/e-commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with integrating e-commerce services (payment, shipping, analytics, etc.)
  • Understanding of SEO best practices, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience with SQL and data-driven applications is a plus
  • Knowledge of version control tools (Git) and agile workflows
  • Effective communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Bilingual – French and English
