WHO YOU ARE:

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Manager supports the accounting team by ensuring timely payment of invoices, as well as managing the accounts payable team and vendor relationships. His/her main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the smooth functioning of the accounts payable team
• They oversee the accurate and prompt processing of invoices
• Review supplier statements, create invoices for intercompany charges, and manage petty cash
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors is crucial
• The manager leads and guides the accounts payable staff, ensuring their productivity and adherence to procedures
• They safeguard the integrity of the accounts payable process
• Preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
• Ensure the reconciliation of all AP accounts
• Improving and enforcing company budgets, financial policies, and processes
• Support the Controller with ad hoc requests

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field (though experience may be preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Comfort with computer systems, knowledge of Sage 300 is an asset
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
