WHO YOU ARE:
As a English–French CA Translator – Fashion Marketing, you thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are great at multitasking and communication, are driven, and results-oriented. You are recognized for your flawless strategic and project execution skills from start to finish.
Your primary responsibility will be translating content from English to French, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Write high-quality AI prompts to generate product descriptions in both English and French, ensuring tone, accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Proofread and edit bilingual content, ensuring correct grammar, spelling, style consistency, and brand voice across materials.
- Translate HR and internal documents, such as policies, training materials, announcements, launch packages and internal communications.
- Translate and adapt social media texts, ensuring platform-appropriate tone and engagement.
- Maintain and update the brand book/glossary, ensuring terminology consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, E-commerce, Creative, HR) to ensure timely and accurate bilingual deliverables.
- Conduct quality checks on AI-generated copy to ensure accuracy, tone, and compliance with brand standards.
- Translate and localize marketing content from English to French with attention to cultural nuance and market relevance, including email marketing, paid ads, seasonal launches, lookbook copy, brand books, and more.
- Ensure French communications comply with Quebec language laws and requirements, adapting content to meet legal and linguistic standards.
- Various translations as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Native or near-native proficiency in both English and French (Canadian French required).
- Degree in Translation (OTTIAQ certification an asset).
- Experience in fashion, retail, or lifestyle marketing
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted writing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, translation platforms, CAT tools).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
