Description:
WHO YOU ARE:
We are currently looking for an Product Developer/Buyer Assistant to join our Footwear and Handbag team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Footwear and Handbags and working closely with the team, you will be responsible to:
- Communicate with suppliers, coordinate sample requests, negotiate costs and track production progress
- Maintain and update internals systems, data entry, purchase order creation
- Manage product data, samples, and technical packs
- Attend fit sessions and collaborate with teams on product approval
- Assist in preparing for sign offs, product and buying meetings and trade events
- Monitor sales performance and assist in making data driven decisions
- Conduct trend, market and competitor research to inform product development
- Support additional projects and tasks as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Completion of post-secondary education in a pertinent field of study
- Minimum of two years of experience in a related role
- Knowledge & experience in footwear and handbags a plus
- Experience working with overseas suppliers
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PLM
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent organizational, communication and negotiation skills
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
